The aim of the David Wilson Hairdressing is for you not just to leave the salon looking and feeling good, but to also give you help recreating the look at home with haircare advice on professional products and styling tips too.
David Wilson
Business Owner
David has a wealth of 40 years in the hairdressing industry. Living in central York now for 28 years, he moved up from working in a top London, Knightsbridge salon to come back to his Yorkshire roots (no pun intended). David specialises in cutting all aspects of hair textures (especially Curly hair) and blow-drying hair. David always takes his time taking into consideration your face shape, hair type and lifestyle. He loves playing around and experimenting with different hair products we use. David only cuts curly hair whilst wet and does not specialise in African/Caribbean hair.
Emily Brown
Self Employed
Emily has worked within the hair industry for over 13 years. Emily works 4 days per week as a Self Employed, Wella Master Colourist and Senior Stylist. Emily has worked very hard to achieve her accolades as a Master Colour Expert, working together with the Wella Academy in Manchester to be the expert she has become. She is a very confident Senior Stylist waiting to work wonders on your hair. Emily loves working with colours and enjoys Up Do’s and Wedding hair too.
Jodi Edgar
Senior Stylist/Colour Technician
Jodi has been in the hairdressing industry for over 20 years in the York area. Jodi is one of our longest employed stylist since 2008. Jodi is a Senior Stylist and Colour Technician. Jodi can put her hands to all aspects of hairdressing. Jodi is a colour Guru when it comes to creating that colour you wish to achieve in your hair to compliment your haircut. Jodi also specialises in Up Do’s and Wedding Hair. She does not do Gentleman’s hair. Jodi works part time in the salon 4 days per week.

Lucy Evans
Creative Stylist/Junior Technician
Lucy is the salon's Creative Stylist and Junior Technician. Lucy has over 5 years hairdressing experience and is eager to build up her clientele. She works on ladies and gents hair. She helps to keep the salon running smoothly to assist all your needs whilst you’re in the salon. From making appointments to breezing a Yorkshire tea. Lucy has completed her NVQ level 2 in Hairdressing. Lucy works 3 days a week and is looking forward to assisting you in your next visit.
